5 Things To Do After You’ve Gone Viral

First of all, MAJOR CONGRATS!  I’m sure you’re feeling a lot of things right now, and pride should definitely be one.

Usually the content that goes viral can feel random, but I’m sure you’ve produced quite a bit of content to get to this point, so you deserve to acknowledge that hard work. 🥳

  1. Get Paid
The first, and arguably most important thing I want you to do if you’ve gone viral, is make sure you have a way for people to pay you.
Right now your business is likely generating tons of traffic, so you want to monetize that ish.
Whether it’s a program, digital product, service, product… whatever.  You need to have something for people to BUY.

  2. Check Your Links
The next thing you need to do is check that all your links are working.  Head to the links on all your social media platforms.  Do they work?  Do they take you where they should?
If you have a link in your bio on Instagram, make sure that it works, and that any links inside that link also work.  Make sure that it’s also clear how to purchase the service, program, product, etc from #1.  Keep It Simple Stupid.  Read more about the path of least resistance.

  3. Introduce Yourself
The third thing is to introduce yourself.  With all this traffic, you want to give people MORE content to consume, and the best one is all about you/your business.
Make a post, video, reel, etc about who you are and what you do.  You can totally make this your elevator pitch.  Just be sure to add a call to action.  It can be something along the lines of “Follow along to learn more about X, Y, Z”

  4. Keep Going
The fourth, thing I want you to do, is keep going.  Sometimes entrepreneurs go viral and then lose steam because they feel like they’ve crossed a finish line.  Remember, what you were doing before worked.  So keep doing that.  Keep creating content, growing your business, and promoting yourself.

  5. Repurpose Your Viral Content
The fifth and final thing I want you to do is wait a few weeks, and then re-purpose that content.  Obviously it was valuable content, so what else can you create with it.  If it was a Reel, turn it into a YouTube video.  If it was a social media post, turn it into a blog post.  The possibilities are endless, but don’t let this valuable content go to waste.  Keep bringing it back to cash in on the success.

Ok those are the top 5 things you need to do immediately after going viral.  And if you haven’t gone viral yet, you should still do #1 and #2 regularly.

Last thing, if you are looking for ways to reach more people, consider starting a blog.  Overwhelmed already?  Check out The Write Way To Nurture.
